Who We Are!
The Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic WomenWho We Are:***********Austin DCCW***********
consists of affiliated women's organizations in parishes throughout the diocese of Austin, Texas. We hold membership in the National Council of Catholic Women (founded in 1920 by U.S. Catholic Bishops) and are recognized by the United States Conference of Bishops (USCCB).
It is the goal of our council to enrich and evangelize the lives of our members through Christian works wherever we go and to extend the love of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to our brothers and sisters.
We do this through the commissions of spirituality, service and leadership.
Resources include prayers, programs to enhance members' spirituality, leadership and service, advocacy for Catholic values at diocesan, province, national and international levels, leadership training.

33rd Annual Rural Life CelebrationThis beautiful event was hosted by Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop, TX on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Mass was celebrated with the Most Reverend Bishop Joe Vásquez. The reception and dinner followed in the parish hall. Congratulations to Rev. Ramiro Tarazona, pastor of Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop, who received the Rural Life Clergy Award for 2022. James and Janet Rathmann received the Rural Life Award.
